  • If Mesotherapy and SKINWORLD Stem Cell Facial which is the new and improved version of Hollywood’s favourite Vampire Facial have worked well for you earlier then this would be a good time to go for another session.
  • Don’t ignore your body: This is a good time to go for body peels. This will help get rid of the pigmentation as well leave a glowing effect.

  • Relax: Your functions have started, you have so much going on, don’t worry about anything just have fun and enjoy all the attention. If you do get some time slip away for a nice relaxing massage and enjoy the best days of your life.

BOTOX

What is Botox?
  • A natural purified proteinBotox
  • It relaxes wrinkle causing muscles
  • It creates smoothed, rejuvenated appearance
What is Botox used for?

Muscle relaxants have been used for years to treat muscular problems including eyelid spasm and facial spasms. The ageing face has wrinkles and furrows which may develop as a result of weakened Collagen in the skin from sun exposure and gravity, or due to excess facial muscle action on the skin.

How does Botox work?

A highly popular and well known cosmetic treatment reversibly paralyses muscles to smooth wrinkles and prevent deeper lines forming. It can therefore be used to treat such facial lines caused primarily by the action of the muscles on the skin.

How long do Botox injections take and is it painful?

Good results can be obtained after a single injection and the effect generally lasts between 3 and 4 months. The procedure is simple to perform and most patients find the injections only cause a mild sting lasting seconds.

How long does Botox last?

Repeat treatments are usually needed approximately every 4 months over a 12 month period. It is encouraging to note that clinical trials report that some patients who have had treatment over 12 months only require further treatments once or twice the following year. It is important to be aware that it takes between 7 -14 days for the treatment to work.

What are the side effects of Botox?
  • If they do occur they are;
  • Temporary
  • Mild to moderate
  • Slight bruising from the injection
  • Is Botox safe?
  • Botox has an excellent safety profile
  • The doses of botulinum toxin used in aesthetic applications are very small and the risks of adverse effects related to its mechanism of action are consequently low.
What are Derma Fillers?

By definition, a dermal filler(one of the popular anti aging treatments) is a product that is injected into the dermis layer of the skin. It helps to lift and fill in facial lines and creases, temporarily restoring its youthful and plumped-up appearance. The results are immediate and astonishing and can take several years off you in a single stroke.

What are Derma Fillers used for?
  • For the smoothening of lines, wrinkles and folds (nasolabial folds, marionette lines, glabellar lines, crow’s feet, forehead lines)
  • Lip augmentation. Creates fuller and luscious lips.
  • Cheek and Chin augmentation. Restores lost volume and creates a more youthful appearance.
  • Filling up shallow scars and depressions (acne scars, tear troughs)
  • Nose contouring. Enhances nose bridge and reshapes tip of nose.
Am I suitable for HA fillers?

HA fillers are generally suitable for everyone.
It is contraindicated only in a small group of people with the following:
  • Previous allergic reactions to other HA products.
  • Skin infection at the planned injection sites.
  • Neuromuscular disorders. (Lou Gehrig’s disease, Myasthenia Gravis, Lambert-Eaton Syndrome).
  • Bleeding Disorders.
  • Previous facial surgery or immediate plans for facial surgery.
  • Pregnancy or plans for pregnancy.
  • Mums who are still breastfeeding. (the safety profile of HA fillers have not been established for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding).
  • Are there any precautions that you need to take before the procedure?

How is the procedure done?

HA filler injections are very simple office procedures. You may be required to come in 30mins earlier for the application of an anaesthetic cream. Ice compression is usually applied before and after the procedure to minimize discomfort, swelling and bruising. The doctor may massage the injected site to ensure correct placement of the fillers.

What happens after the procedure?

Zou should keep facial movements to a minimum. Do not massage the injected site. Avoid saunas, steam baths and facials for the first week. Avoid taking blood thinners or specific painkillers for the first week. Effects are seen almost immediately. Most effects of HA fillers can last for 9 months.
Groom
There is an old saying, ‘it takes two to tango’ – the wedding day is as much about the Groom as it is about the Bride, make sure you are looking your absolute best.

Unlike brides, Grooms do not wear a layer of make up that can help them cover these imperfections .It is better to nip these issues in the bud rather than go for damage control later too close to the wedding.

Most skin problems are caused by factors such as incorrect products, stress, exposure to the sun, bad diet, genetics, hormonal issues, etc.

Some of the most common skin issues we see for Grooms are:
  • Acne
  • Acne scars
  • Dull Skin
  • Pigmentation – Indian skin is less prone to wrinkles but more prone to pigmentation.
  • Excessive Hair on the back, ears, unibrow, etc.
  • Hair Loss
  • Dark Circles
Most men don’t consult a Skin Expert for their skin care regime but right before your wedding it is essential that you take an opinion. If you’re a little hesitant then accompany your fiancé for her appointment and take a few tips for your skin.

You may not necessarily like indulging in facials but your can always go for a clean up or a peel to make sure your skin looks fresh. You should start your skin regime 1-3months before the wedding day however if you have any skin issues then 6months before would be a safer bet.

Wedding Skin Care tips for brides and grooms
Before your wedding is the time you start taking your appearance extremely seriously and rightly so. You are going to be looking back at your wedding for the rest of your life, this is why it is so crucial to look your best.

Most skin problems are caused by factors such as incorrect products, stress, exposure to the sun, bad diet, genetics, hormonal issues, etc. It is better to nip these issues in the bud rather than go for damage control later too close to the wedding . So here are some skin care tips to include in your skin routine to the months leading to your big day:

For Acne: Opt for a good clean diet (avoid diary and sugar), regular clean-ups, a good skin care regime with salicylic acid based cleanser can go a long way to help keep your skin acne free. If acne does develop, use a cream containing Benzoyl peroxide.

For Dullness: Use a cream containing Kojic, Licourice or Arbutin for brightening. Glutathione is a master antioxidant – it can be used to help brighten your skin ideally taken as an IV (or orally), Crystal Tomato is also a super anti-oxidant used for skin rejuvenation and brightening, it is available in the form of tablets and a cream.

For Pigmentation: Sun is a strict no-no, if at all possible try and avoid the sun especially during peak hours. Exfoliate at least twice a week, use sunscreen with SPF 30 and above every 3 hours. Eat a diet rich with antioxidants. Treatments such as peels, polishing, medical facials, lasers and creams that should be used under supervision of a doctor..
